Kensin was born in Taiwan, his interest was in medicine and painting. To pursue his dream as a professional cinematographer, he re-located and lived in Tokyo for 7 years. He graduated from Tokyo Polytechnic University, Image art lab., under the tutorial of Professor Machiko Kusahara ( 草原真知子 )’s “DIGITAL ART LAB.
During his stay in Japan, he has participated in countless famous movies and TVs’ film productions. He was also an important figure in SEGA, responsible for the high-tech productions of many commercials, games and movies.
He return to Taipei during 2000, and begin his career as a TVC directors.
Having now more than 300 films in his portfolio, he was awarded numerous different awards, both domestic, and international.
His style carries a very strong visual impact, with an international fare, and always a leader in new directions.His story-lines are always profound, modern, and trendy.
He now base in Shanghai. He continue to co-operate with Hong Kong, Japan, US, and European film companies.
